BAG FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS 2010 More significant fund
raising will be required as the CRB checks, first aid and child protection
training will have to be renewed. 2009 No decision has been made
about fund raising activities next year. At present it is likely that there
will be a fund rasing event in April and a (hopefully dry) opening day and
car boot sale on 1st August. 2008 As all our major items
of expenditure were in 2007 and we were so sucessful that year, there has not
been so much pressure to fund raise this year. The CAFE continues to
make a small contribution. The Quiz Night on 19th
April was a sucess and raised around £200. Small and larger
donations from residents have continued. We have received a
fantastic donation from a local resident of £400 to enable us to erect a
second bay of the cricket nets. The £100 raised on the Opening Day & Car Boot Sale on August 2nd will be
put towards a Soccer Kick & Return Board. 2007 It cost quite a lot to
set up BAG with CRB checks, 1st Aid training, Child Protection training and
membership fees of various organisations. We also had an ambitious program of
equipment purchase and our 1st year costs were estimated at over £2,800. Fund raising for BAG
commenced in April 2008 with sucessful Grant Applications to Norfolk
Community Foundation and Breckland Council. BAG also received a generous
donation from Bawdeswell Parish Council of money received from the bottle
bank recycling. A Quiz Night in June
raised a significant sum. There have been a
number of small and some large donations from members of our community. There is a small income
from the CAFE profits. Thanks to all the above
we achieved and then passed our target. |
